Refugees walk hundreds of miles to find safety…. Will you walk to help them?
5K Run/3K Walk for Refugees Saturday, September 6, 2008
Help us connect weary refugees with caring volunteers!
Click here to register for the event. (Active.com is providing our on-line registration.)
Challenge yourself to raise $150, $300, $500 or even higher. The more money you raise, the more people we can help. Let's see how many refugees we can welcome together! (We ask all participants to contribute a minimum of $30 to cover event fees. Participant fee is waived for children and refugees.)
Click here to set up your own fundraising page for this event. (A free service provided by Active.com.) Use your web page to send e-mails, set your own goal, keep track of supporters and more. Invite friends, family, church members, colleagues, neighbors and others to join your team and you can make an even bigger difference for refugees!
Click here to donate. All contributions will be used to welcome refugee families from Burma, Iraq, Sudan and other countries who arrive in our community in the next few months.
